There is no equivalent of ‘monster’ in Old English, only different types of scary things which may or may not fall into that category – aglæca (‘hostile attacker’ or something along those lines – can be applied to heroes like Beowulf, however), eoten (‘giant’), feond (‘fiend’), etc.
